“Osseointegration of Anodized vs. Sandblasted Implant Surfaces in a Guided Bone Regeneration Acute Dehiscence-Type Defect: An In Vivo Experimental Mandibular Minipig Model” published in the International Clinical Oral Implants Research and authored by Shakeel Shahdad. In their study, the authors directly compared two dental implant surfaces: Nobel Biocare TiUltra™ and Straumann® SLActive®, using a GBR acute dehiscence animal model. Their findings revealed that SLActive® exhibited significantly superior levels of osseointegration in the dehiscence defect when compared to the TiUltra™ surface.
