Whether it’s the the fast and effective remodelling of maxgraft®, the long term volume stability of Straumann® XenoGraft, the advanced application benefits of cerabone® plus or the easy handling and slow degradation rate of Jason® Membrane; these products, when used in combination, create a synergistic approach to address complex bone defects, offering clinicians versatile solutions for promoting successful bone regeneration in challenging clinical scenarios. The compatibility, reliability, and proven efficacy of these products make them invaluable tools in the treatment of advanced bone defects.
Synthetic options
The ability to offer synthetic grafting options to patients without compromising on clinical outcome is quickly becoming more relevant than ever before. The combination of Straumann® BoneCeramic™ and permamem® in grafting procedures offers a multitude of benefits to those needing to provide synthetic solutions.
Straumann® BoneCeramic™ provides excellent biocompatibility and structural support, closely resembling natural bone. Its osteoconductive properties promote new bone formation, fostering a robust foundation for implant placement.
Paired with permamem® – an ultra-thin, easy to handle, non-resorbable high density PTFE membrane, together the duo contributes to enhanced predictability, reduced morbidity, and improved outcomes in grafting procedures, making them a compelling synthetic solution for clinicians.
Socket management
Dental socket preservation plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of future implant placement. Straumann® XenoFlex, mucoderm®, and permamem® emerge as excellent products for socket preservation, each contributing unique attributes to enhance the efficacy of the treatment.
Straumann® XenoFlex, known for its volume stability, easy application and flexibility, serves to protect the socket and promoting optimal tissue regeneration.
Mucoderm®, a porcine-derived collagen matrix, serves as a reliable soft tissue substitute, supporting the formation of a stable mucosal seal over the preserved socket. Its biocompatibility and ability to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding tissues make it an ideal choice.
Permamem®, a non-resorbable membrane, offers long-lasting stability to the treatment site by preventing soft tissue ingrowth and maintaining the space for bone regeneration.
The synergy between these products addresses the multifaceted needs of socket preservation, ensuring successful outcomes by promoting both hard and soft tissue regeneration while providing long-term structural support.
Implant and periodontal maintenance
Straumann® Emdogain® is the only biological solution that promotes the true regeneration of periodontal tissues and enhances oral wound healing. After 25 years of clinical success, Straumann® Emdogain® is still unique in the field of regenerative dentistry. There is nothing quite like it.
While alternative treatments only slow down the advancement of periodontitis, Straumann® Emdogain® can actually regenerate the tissues lost due to periodontal disease.¹ Moreover, thanks to the introduction of a new applicator, Straumann® Emdogain® FL can now be applied flapless* in periodontal pockets after scaling and root planing procedures.
This procedure can be made even more effective with the use of the Labrida BioClean™ brush which is a clinically proven solution for effective debridement of teeth and dental implant surfaces. Labrida BioClean™ is designed for cleaning of osseointegrated dental implants and/or teeth (pocket depths ≥ 4mm).

Wound healing
Considering oral wound healing is paramount in implant or oral surgery as it directly influences the long-term success of the procedure. The oral cavity is a dynamic environment, and understanding the intricacies of wound healing is crucial for minimizing complications and optimizing outcomes. Proper wound management ensures the formation of healthy, functional tissues, reducing the risk of infections, inflammation, and adverse soft or hard tissue reactions.
Straumann® Emdogain® is one of the best documented products in oral tissue regeneration. Its excellent clinical tolerability has been demonstrated in over two million surgical applications. Emdogain® contains enamel matrix proteins (amelogenins). When applied to the wound, these proteins form an extracellular matrix that stimulates cells and processes that are fundamental for wound healing. These properties make Emdogain® a unique solution to stimulate and accelerate the healing of wounds and regeneration of tissues.
