Straumann®
Investigator-initiated Studies PROGRAM

What is an investigator-initiated study (IIS)?
An IIS is a pre-clinical or clinical study designed, conducted, and sponsored by an independent investigator or institution (investigator-sponsored study).

Why do we support?
We strongly believe that supporting independent clinical research, together with Straumann-Sponsored studies, is crucial to provide high quality patient care, and to identify new opportunities to address unmet clinical needs. This is part of our mission to be the most innovative oral care company in the world.

AREAS OF INTEREST

Generally, we support studies including Straumann implant systems, regenerative, and digital solutions (orthodontic, 3D printing, IOS, etc.). More specifically, we encourage investigators to submit proposals targeting the following priority areas:

  1. Reduced invasiveness and improved efficiency of treatment protocols.
  2. Prevention and management of biologic or technical complications.
  3. Patient-reported outcomes.
  4. Analysis of retrospective databases, registries, and data collections.
