Freehand surgery for immediate implant placement of an upper premolar, using an apically tapered Straumann® BLC implant ∅ 4.5 mm x 12 mm, SLActive®, Roxolid®, and immediate provisional restoration, followed by final restoration using a digital workflow.

  • CBCT analysis.

  • Occlusal view of the extraction socket.

  • Insertion of Straumann® BLC implant ∅ 4.5 mm x 12 mm, SLActive®, Roxolid®.

  • Implant in final position prior to gap management with bone grafting.

  • Immediate provisional crown.

  • 12 weeks of osseointegration and soft tissue healing.

  • Definitive screw-retained implant crown after 12 weeks .
