André Schroeder Research Prize 2022: Why researchers should apply now!

The International Team for Implantology (ITI) offers the highest quality educational support and a wealth of benefits to enhance your professional activities. The renowned André Schroeder Research Prize is just one of the many benefits. Learn more about how the ITI can help you kickstart or boost your career in implant dentistry and related fields.

Every year, the ITI awards two researchers in the field of implant dentistry the André Schroeder Prizes for Preclinical Research and Clinical Research. Winning this prize not only allows the researchers to make their work known to a broader public, but also opens doors and opportunities for their career. This year, Benjamin Coyac from France and Michael Payer from Austria were the winners. We asked both of them about their motivation to apply, the importance of organizations like the ITI for research, and their reaction when they heard they had won the prize.

Benjamin Coyac (France/Israel) about his reaction when he heard he had won the 2021 André Schroeder Prize for Preclinical Research for his study on "Bone formation around unstable implants is enhanced by a WNT protein therapeutic in a preclinical in vivo model".

Michael Payer (Austria), about his reaction when he heard he had won the 2021 André Schroeder Prize for Clinical Research for his study on "The effect of systemic antibiotics on clinical and patient reported outcome measures of oral implant therapy with simultaneous guided bone regeneration”.
