WIN in Latin America: first online Hispano-American Meeting in Commemoration of Breast Cancer Day

In Latin America, we are proud to promote the Women’s Implantology Network (WIN), which inspires and encourages women to participate in implantology by motivating them every day to develop in different areas of dentistry, including as specialists, researchers, and Fellows and Members of ITI. One of our WIN LATAM ambassadors is Dr. Carolina Higashida who, together with Dr. Rebeca Cruz, is part of the Lead Team for the ITI Mexico section.

To kick start the project we decided to hold the first “Online Hispano-American Meeting in Commemoration of Breast Cancer Day,” in which nine female doctors from different LATAM countries spoke on various topics of odontology and the importance of disease prevention. This live online conference took place on Friday, October 19, 2018 and was simultaneously viewed by 339 persons through the I+D webinar platform.

ITI + WIN

Officially, the launch of the WIN LATAM website took place on January 11, 2019. We plan to regularly add content to our site and to grow our network every day.

Our goal as a region is to grow the WIN community in LATAM and to have more than 100 registered members by the end of 2019.
