Freehand surgery for a lower molar tooth replacement in a healed site using an apically tapered Straumann® BLC implant ∅ 4.5 mm x 12 mm SLActive®, Roxolid®, and following a conventional loading protocol.

  • CBCT analysis reveals available bone before implantation.

  • Implant bed ready to receive the implant.

  • Straumann® BLC implant ∅ 4.5 mm ⊗ 12 mm, SLActive®, Roxolid® in final position.

  • Post insertion radiograph.

  • 12 weeks of osseointegration and soft tissue healing.

  • Definitive screw-retained implant crown after 12 weeks.

  • Radiograph of final crown on Variobase® abutment screw-retained in final position.
