Straumann Selects Zimbis to Revolutionize Dental Inventory Management
Inventory Management at the forefront of dental technology to create a more efficient, cost-effective, and patient-focused dental industry.
January 11, 2024 (Andover, Mass.) – Straumann, a global leader in tooth replacement and digital workflows, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Zimbis, a leading innovator of inventory management solutions, as a preferred supplier of dental implant inventory management systems to elevate the efficiency and patient care experience for dental practices across North America.
"Zimbis and Straumann share a common vision: to deliver the highest standard of quality and efficiency to the dental profession. This strategic relationship will integrate Zimbis' cutting-edge inventory management solutions with Straumann's world-class dental products, offering an exclusive and holistic service that significantly benefits both dental professionals and patients," said Aurelio Sahagun, Head of North America.
The Zimbis inventory system stores and tracks Straumann’s non-biomaterial products within a dental practice, such as implants and abutments.
In addition, the system continually monitors stock levels, automatically ordering items through Straumann’s e-commerce platform as they are depleted, saving staff time from manual inventory counts, preventing supply shortages, and drastically reducing the need for costly emergency restocking.
Zimbis is a fully modular system. “No two implementations are exactly the same,” said Louis Visser, DDS, President and company founder. “We build a customized database and associated hardware suited to each customer’s unique needs. It’s really a partnership between Zimbis, Straumann, and the dental practice, focused on achieving the customer’s end goals.”
Zimbis inventory systems are now available to dental professionals in the United States and Canada. To learn more, reach out to your dedicated Straumann territory manager.
